This guide is for the official Drive Explorer add-on. Install it to list, export, and audit Google Drive files and folders directly in your spreadsheet or browser.
Sometimes you may want to add custom data against a file which you can refer later. This feature can help you achieve it. First, you need to enable renaming feature and then add custom metadata columns from the choose sheet fields add-on menu. You can add up to 3 custom metadata columns to your sheet. Name of the metadata columns: Custom Metadata 1, Custom Metadata 2, Custom Metadata 3.
If there is no metadata set, the column value will be N/A. You can remove N/A, type a value and press Enter to save your data. You can press backspace/delete in a cell and enter to remove a metadata.
Install Drive Explorer from the Google Workspace Marketplace today and start exporting file metadata, folder sizes, and sharing permissions directly inside Google Sheets or on your browser.
